Join Haskè Ventures, the Venture Studio building the next generation of West African Entrepreneurs. We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Lead Product Manager to join our headquarters team in Dakar.

As a Lead Product Manager, you play an integral role in planning and building the solutions Haskè Ventures brings to market. You bring a broad base of product-building skills and knowledge to our teams: from agile/lean development practices and customer centricity to business strategy. At Haskè Ventures, your task is to find the entrepreneurial sweet spot between what customers desire and what technology makes possible and enable the team to decide what to build.

OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE

• Ensure the relevance of product development, especially in the later stages of a venture build
• Lead product roadmap development
• Prioritize product features in a way that generates maximum business impact
• Adequately assign resources to deliver planned features on time
• Drive multidisciplinary team through lean, agile-based incubation and commercialization process - e.g., Build, Learn, Adapt
• Generate customer insights from actual user data to iterate the product roadmap

DAILY AND MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work in collaboration with design and engineering teams, and drive a lean and agile development process, ensuring the seamless delivery and go-to-market of our ventures
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to scope, design, concept test, and deliver innovative solutions
• Work with strategic design to gain an understanding of user personas, pain points, and journeys
• Develop feature lists, user stories, and roadmaps
• Gather and manage product feedback through surveys, concept testing, analytics tools, and A/B testing
• Monitor and report on product KPIs
• Inspire our venture teams with insights into the latest trends in product-building methods

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a field relevant to the desired role
• +5 years of product management experience, with skills in agile product development, user story, Scrum, and Kanban
• A good understanding of software development lifecycle
• Ability to simplify and prioritize
• Ability to think strategically: being able to understand the business implications of product feature decisions
• Ability to manage time and schedules to meet deadlines
• Familiarity with some of the following fields is welcome since cross-functional communication is key to our success: Service Design, Software Development, Interaction Design, Performance Marketing, and Change Management 2
• Able to analyse qualitative and quantitative data collected from the product use and develop data-driven strategic opportunities
• Understanding basic business skills, especially regarding early-stage metrics (AARRR).
• Ability to collaborate with software Engineers on finding the perfect approach for the desired solution
• Capacity for self-motivation, independent initiative, and creative problem-solving
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, intellectually demanding, and service-oriented environment
• French and English proficiency will be a plus
