IT MANAGER

We are looking for a committed IT Manager to serve at the Group level and join our headquarters team in Dakar, Senegal. This person will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. The person will report to the President of Haskè Group with a significant interface with the Group-level strategy and operations team.

OBJECTIVES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE
The COO of this venture will be expected to manage all operations, logistics, and tracking of accounts. Your role will be to lead various functions:

  • Strategy

    • Design and implement a digital and cybersecurity policy for entities under the Haskè Group, considering the particularity of each user.

    • Ensure compliance in the protection of personal data.

    • Develop a policy and systems for safeguarding our digital resources in coordination with the Knowledge Management and Legacy team.

    • Stay informed of current technology, trend and best practices related to IT.

  • Management/operations:

    • Handle support requests via phone, email or in person.

    • Ensure all staff, including external contractors, abide by the IT Policy.

    • Set up, issue, and maintain user workstations, laptops, and tablets.

    • Set up our digital equipment (printers, etc.)

    • Troubleshoot business applications including Office 365 and custom software applications.

    • Manage connectivity issues and serve as liaison with internet service providers.

    • Maintain an inventory of the IT equipment.

    • Communicate and coordinate enterprise level issues to the upstream IT Services helpdesk when needed.

    • Analyze and recommend changes and upgrades to staff and Office Manager.

    • Maintain and resolve land-line connectivity and communicate with providers.

    • Manage any other IT administrative related duties.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting end-users on Windows operating systems from version XP to Windows 11.

  • 5 years of work-related experience or equivalent education with three to five years related work experience, preferably as help desk support or field technician.

  • Experience with IT related hardware (laptops, desktops).

  • Experience using remote connection tools, helpdesk software, and ability to coordinate with other help desk personnel for successful and timely resolution of requests.

  • Excellent people skills; must be competent and comfortable with handling support requests via phone and email or in person.

  • Demonstrate ability to make decisions; support and explain the reasoning for decisions; include appropriate people in the decision-making process.

  • Demonstrate ability to set and achieve goals.

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.

  • Ability to multi-task and work with limited supervision.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

  • Ability to troubleshoot basic network and VOIP issues.

  • Ability to recognize and troubleshoot Windows operating system related issues.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Security principles and best practices.

  • Knowledge of IT security principles, vulnerabilities, and protection methods.

  • Technical certification in Microsoft technologies is preferred.

  • Bilingual: French & English.
